It's been a while...

So yes it has been a while. My life really isn't that exciting and I haven't been scrapping much, but that is going to change in the coming year.

Christmas is upon us and the rush and stress is here with it. In this case it is just having the money to buy presents, but now that my shopping is done I just need to finish up some handmade presents that I will be doing. Then all the chaos will be over in a week. Yay. I am sad to say that I am one of those people that doesn't enjoy Christmas. I guess it is because my family was never big on traditions what I was growing up. I am trying to start some traditions with my own family but the response is not what I had hoped for.

Now for the fun stuff....TWILIGHT!!!!! It was released on November 21st. I went with a friend to the midnight showing (she hadn't read the books) Man was it amazing. Yes it was kind of campy and cheesy in bits, but what do you expect with a 37 million dollar budget. I have now seen it 5 times and it just keeps getting better and better. Oh, and my friend that hadn't read the books....has now read them and is as addicted as me! I also belong to a forum called Twilight Moms that is geared towards the fans that are 25 and older (and/or also have kids and husbands). It is so nice to know that I am not alone in this addiction! There are quite a few members there that live her locally and I can not wait to meet up with them. It will be nice to talk to people about the books, movie, and Edward...errr Rob!

So I am now off to work on some scrappy projects for presents. One of these days I will get pics of everything and post them.

How did I manage to do that???

Ok, so I went to a crop yesterday from 10am-1am (yes I said 1am!!) and I did 3 pages...THREE!!!! What is up with that? I was just having so much fun talking and getting to know everyone that I didn't get much scrapping done. I did get the trees stamped and cut out for Christmas cards and that was definitely time consuming. My hands are paying for it now. They have been going numb all day :(

I do have to say that if feels good to be cropping again and making new friends, even discovering old friends that I wasn't that close to before. Things have changed alot for me in the past three months and I have changed too. I have alot more confidence in myself than I had had in a while. I actually feel like my oldself and that my friends is a very very good thing! I joined a local scrap group and I really like them.

One last thing to leave you with.....

"The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you weren't worth the truth"

*thanks to Nissa for sharing that with me :)

New Twilight trailer...

Is coming out tonight in 3 hours and 30 seconds!!! Nuff said!

I was given a topic...

Ok, so one of the message boards that I go to has given us bloggers a topic to post about. Mostly to help those who don't update enough (read that would be ME!!!!) So here is the topic...

Did you dress up for Halloween when you were a kid? What was your favorite outfit?

Yes I did dress up but I can't really remember alot of my costumes. I am sure there were some ghosts, superheroes (Wonder Woman anyone?) and even a clown...eek! If you know me you know even at age 37 I do not like clowns (thanks Poltergeist). I do actually remember dressing up as Raggedy Ann one year. I remember because my mom had put these extra freckles on me using some eyeliner pencil and then spent an hour trying to scrub off one of the freckles only to realize that somehow the offending freckle was a real one. It was not there when she put the stuff on me so somehow it magically popped up.

Now as I got older and in my Duranie phase my friends and I dressed as Duran Duran members. Yep I was John Taylor for 2 years straight!

Then I discovered Rocky Horror Picture Show and that was it. Of course I dressed as Magenta every Friday night even if it wasn't Halloween. I do remember going to alot of Halloween parties though dressed like that.

Yeah not so exciting really but that is my memory of Halloweens past.

My newest obsession

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ok so I like vampires. There I said it. Yes I know that may seem a bit strange to some of you but hey it's part of who I am. I have found a new vamp that I am all gaga over lol. Sounds silly to be nuts over a fictional character but if you have read these books and like vampires then you will understand why I like it.

My newest obsession is the Twilight Series (and yes I know these were written as Young Adult books) but damn! There are plenty of people my age all about these books. So DH suggested that I might like these books since he knows how I feel about vampires. I picked up the first book around 5pm on a Monday and finished it at 2 am Tuesday morning. Needless to say I went out and bought the second one first thing in the morning. Finished that one that same night and bought the third one the next day. Then had DH stop and get me the newest one the next day. Yeah I am hooked. Even better, my friend that also likes vamps is now hooked too lol.

The movie for the first book, Twilight is set to be released on 11.21.08. Yeah I will be there opening night!

Am I nuts...absolutely!!! I have not been this excited about a series of books since I read Interview with the Vampire in high school.

Oh...and Edward was a Hufflepuff...Cederic Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
